Hunter Orthopaedics and Sports Surgery or "HOSS" provides a unique sports injury and orthopaedic surgery service to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie and the Hunter Region of NSW.

Dr Michael Maguire specialises in advanced arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder, elbow, wrist and knee for the treatment of sports related injuries and orthopaedic conditions including arthritis. His particular areas of expertise include arthroscopic shoulder stabilisation, arthroscopic rotator cuff repair , elbow arthroscopy and arthroscopic knee anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction.

Dr Maguire also performs minimally invasive total joint replacement surgery for arthritis of the shoulder, hip and knee. In addition to total joint arthroplasty, Dr Maguire also performs innovative arthroscopic assisted partial joint replacement and resurfacing arthroplasty surgery.
